Loretta LaRoche
Loretta has “Sold Out” venues across the country with her outrageous one woman show: Boston Symphony Hall, The Hanover Theatre, Emerson Majestic, Berkley Performing Arts Center, Providence Performing Arts Theatre , Palace Theatre in Albany NY, Capital Centre for the Arts in Concord NH, Stadium Theatre, TELUS Center in Canada, just to name a few. Loretta has toured with The Power Within sharing the stage with Arianna Huffington, Former President Bill Clinton, Ellen DeGeneres, Tony Robbins and many other great leaders.
She is a well-recognized TV personality on PBS with seven one-woman television specials airing on 80 PBS stations across the country. She has been nominated for local and prime time Emmy Awards, and has appeared on CNN, ABC, NBC and FOX affiliates. Loretta improves the health of your organization by alleviating stress through humor, leaving audiences happy and optimistic. Loretta is an Internationally recognized stress-management consultant who advocates fun, optimism, and resiliency. She uses her wit to help people learn how to take stress and turn it into strength.

Lisa M. Berger MPH CP-FS
Berger Food Safety Consulting
After earning a Masters degree in Public Health, Ms. Berger later worked for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health as an Epidemiologist. She was in charge of 50 towns in the Boston Metropolitan area investigating communicable disease outbreaks which involved restaurants, daycare centers, prison facilities, public and private schools, hospitals, and medical offices.
In non-outbreak settings, Ms. Berger conducted seminars outlining control measures for the prevention of such outbreaks at medical conferences, schools, hospitals, daycare centers, doctors offices, and neighborhood centers.
While running the “business,” Ms. Berger continues to work as a food safety consultant conducting food protection certification seminars (ServSafe), teaching basic sanitation courses for non-certified employees, providing third party audits, developing HACCP plans and working with new establishments on their plan reviews.
She has worked as a consultant for Boston area establishments and venues such as: Hamersley’s Bistro, The Four Seasons Hotel, TD Banknorth Garden, Harvard University, Mistral, Gillette Stadium, Spire, Agganis Arena, Cambridge School of Culinary Arts, Costa, Dimock Community Health Center, Dunkin Donuts, Emerson College, Fire and Ice, Fuddruckers, Grill 23 and the Liberty Hotel just to name a few. She has also consulted for special events such as the 1999 Ryder Cup in Brookline, MA; the 2004 Democratic National Convention (DNC) at the FleetCenter in Boston, MA; the 2009 Mayors Conference at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, RI; and Singapore Day in New York, NY in 2012.
Ms. Berger is a frequent speaker for public health organizations (the Massachusetts Health Officers Association, the Food and Drug Administration [FDA], and the Local Public Health Institute of Massachusetts), the Massachusetts Restaurant Association (MRA), and the food service industry. She has appeared often on local and national TV programs and is author of the prominent food safety training book “Food Safety for Managers”.
Martin Suuberg
DEP Commissioner
Martin Suuberg was appointed on January 8, 2015 as the Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) by Governor Charles D. Baker and his Secretary of Energy and Environmental Affairs, Matthew A. Beaton.
With nearly 30 years of experience working in environmental and natural resource agencies at the state and federal level, Martin is a lawyer and manager who has effectively and efficiently administered the environmental laws that protect the quality of life for all Massachusetts’ citizens.
Prior to his appointment as Commissioner, Martin served as Undersecretary for Environmental Affairs in the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs. At MassDEP, Martin served as Deputy Commissioner for Policy and Planning. He took over this position after 9 ½ years as the Regional Director for the Central Regional Office in Worcester, which serves more than 70 communities in Worcester County and nearby areas and is responsible for environmental permitting, inspection and enforcement activities.
Over his long career, Martin has also served as General Counsel to MassDEP and to the Executive Office of Environmental Affairs, as well as to the former Department of Environmental Management where he also served as Deputy Commissioner.
Before moving to Massachusetts, Martin was an Associate Solicitor and then Deputy Solicitor at the U.S. Department of the Interior in Washington, DC, where he worked on land management and natural resource issues.

Eric Carleton, P.E.

Eric is a South Bend, IN native and has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University. He is a registered engineer Indiana and Minnesota. Eric and his wife Kathy have been married for 37 years and they have 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren. Eric worked 8 years with Armco Steel Corporation in their Construction Products Division and 2 more years when the company became Contech Construction Products in Minneapolis, MN. Prior to joining the NPCA staff, Eric worked for 27 years as the Technical Director and Corporate Engineer at the Independent Concrete Pipe Company in Indianapolis, IN.
Eric served as past President for the Indiana Section of ASCE and Chairman for the Indiana Water Environment Association Collection Systems Committee receiving the IWEA Tumble Bug Award and Indiana Collection Systems Professional of the Year
Eric is the staff liaison with the NPCA Manhole Product Committee,
